Well, we are now about a month and a half into our ClubWorx membership. I have finally started to see some progress!!
Today, at the gym, I weighed 284 pounds before I started my workout. During the course of the day, I've probably gotten up to 286 or 287, but that still represents about 10 pounds gone. I think they are really gone, not just part of my normal daily weight fluctuation.
Aside from the weight, I really am starting to feel better. I feel a lot stronger, even though Jennifer says she can't tell anything by looking at me.
Oh well...hopefully I can continue to see progress.

300...Not Just A Movie
Well, last Tuesday (one week ago today) I weighed 300 pounds on our home scale.
It only happened once, and it was just after a big dinner, so in reality it isn't that big of a deal. I've been hovering in the 290's for a while now anyway.
But good grief, it's depressing when you go to the gym fairly regularly for the first time in years, and the first thing you do is weigh the most you've ever weighed in your life.
Oh well. I just have to keep doing what I'm doing, I guess, and eventually I will lose a little weight.
Right?

2 Weeks...
Well, it's been two weeks since Jennifer and I joined ClubWorx.
I have gone to the gym six times during those two weeks; four times the first week, two the second.
I discovered that there is a group that meets around noon each day to play basketball, which is nice.
I also have discovered that the weight doesn't exactly melt off when you're 36 years old. When I was younger, I could lose five pounds by just thinking that I needed to lose weight. Now, not so much.
I need to adjust my diet...mainly cut back on portion size, I think. We eat relatively healthy foods, I think I just eat too much of them.
Anyway, for the first two weeks, I may have lost four or five pounds. My weight fluctuates a lot, so it's hard to tell. Over the last two weeks, I have weighed everything from 298.5 to 289. Who knows what my actual weight is...and who cares?
For now, I'm comfortable knowing that I'm going to the gym, and getting into better shape, even if it isn't starting to show on the scale just yet.

295 POUNDS!!!
That's what I weighed on the afternoon of Sunday, April 20, 2008.
Two hundred ninety-five pounds. Holy cow.
Anyway, that same afternoon, Jennifer and I joined ClubWorx in Fuquay Varina, NC.
I will update my progress as I try to get myself into shape, and my weight down to a more reasonable level.
